Champagne Ruby scored a two and three-quarter length victory over Miss Narcissist in the 33rd renewal of the $50,000 Niagara Stakes at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack (F.L.G.R.) on Saturday. The top two finishers are both from the barn of trainer Linda Rice.

Champagne Ruby sat off the early pace that was set by her stablemate. She rallied up the inside under jockey Oscar Gomez to secure the victory. She completed the six furlong sprint for New York-bred 3-year-old fillies in a final time of 1:11.94.

The $142,335 earner owned by Clyde Rice remains undefeated at F.L.G.R. She also won the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes on September 28, 2013.

The chestnut filly registered her third career victory and paid $5.80, $3.00 and $2.20. Miss Narcissist completed the Linda Rice exacta and returned $2.40 and $2.20. Aspree finished third and paid $3.20.
