Rick Burke’s Irish Hill Century Farm in Saratoga Springs, home to Thomas Coleman’s sire Zivo, welcomed the stallion’s first foal on February 21, a filly out of the maiden mare Phoenix Park.

Phoenix Park, a daughter of Lookin At Lucky out of a Proud Citizen mare is a Kentucky-bred winner purchased by Zivo Enterprises at the 2016 Keeneland January sale for $17,000.

Her new daughter’s TrueNicks rating, based on the cross of Zivo’s sire True Direction with the Mr. Prospector line, (his son Smart Strike and grandson Lookin At Lucky, in this case), is an A++.

Zivo-Phoenix Park fillyZivo is a nine-time winning millionaire, who won the Grade 2 Suburban during his 5-year-old campaign. The same year, he finished second to Tonalist in the Grade1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and participated in the Breeder’s Cup Classic. In New York-bred stakes company, Zivo won the Whodam Stakes, Kings Point and the Commentator Handicap.

According to Zivo’s conditioner Chad Brown, “Zivo is one of the most durable and talented horses I have trained to date. He raced year-round in New York throughout his career, all of his starts on the dirt. I can’t wait to see what his offspring can do!”

In 2017, Zivo stands at Irish Hill Century Farm for $2,500. Contact Sean Feld of Feld Family Stallions at (859) 519-9665 and zivostallion@yahoo.com  for inquiries. For more information, please contact Rick Burke at (518) 527-2701.
