NYTB Stallion Season Auction Jan 14-16 2019

New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. will conduct its annual Stallion Season Auction starting on Monday, January 14 at 9:00 a.m. and ending on Wednesday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m. The auction will be held online using the Starquine bidding platform.  Participants must register with starquine.com prior to bidding.  All bids will be subject to the rules and conditions of the auction.  Each season’s conditions will be posted.

Rockridge Stud announces 2019 roster and fees

Rockridge Stud[2] in Hudson has announced its 2019 stallion roster and stud fees:

A Shin Forward $3,500 LFSN
Frank Conversation $5,000 LFSN (Share the Upside $6,500)
Giant Surprise $3,500 LFSN
Honorable Dillon $4,000 LFSN
Micromanage $4,000 LFSN

The farm also announced that their former stallion Soaring Empire (Empire Maker) had to be humanely euthanized recently.

Rockridge’s Erin Robinson supplied further information. “Soaring Empire lost an eye a few years back due to a sudden infection,” said Robinson. “A few weeks ago he developed a serious cataract in his remaining eye that left him all but entirely blind. He was unable to leave his stall and his quality of life turned poor very rapidly. It’s very sad.”
