First foal arrives for New York stakes winner Japan

Waldorf Farm[2] announced that the first foal by stakes-winning, graded stakes-placed Japan, a son of Medaglia d’Oro, was born on January 27.

The bay filly out of multiple stakes winner Lovely Daniella (9 wins, $171,942), was bred by Blue Star Stable and Michael Ferraro and was foaled at Waldorf Farm[2] in North Chatham. Japan bred 61 mares his first year at stud in 2016. His stud fee in 2017 is $3,500 live foal stands and nurses.
