Waldorf Farm to host stallion show Jan. 21

Dr. Jerry Bilinski announced today that the stallions standing this year at his Waldorf Farm[2] in North Chatham will be on display from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21. Breeders in attendance will be eligible for a drawing for one free season to each sire. Food and refreshments will be served.

New at Waldorf for 2017 is Grade 1 Travers Stakes winner V. E. Day by English Channel. From the family of champion Grade 1 winner Sunshine Forever, V. E. Day stands for $6,500.

V. E. Day joins leading northeast sire Bustin Stones, the undefeated Grade 1 sprinter ranked seventh last year in the Northeast, whose fee is advertised at $5,000. In 2016, Japan retired to Waldorf and covered a full book of mares. The son of champion sire Medaglia d’Oro is a stakes winner at Belmont and was third in the Grade 2 Jim Dandy S. at Saratoga. The 2017 fee for Japan was recently updated, he will stand for a fee of $3,500 in 2017.

All fees are live foal stands and nurses. Multiple mare discounts are available, as well as incentives for returning breeders.
