Hip 69[2], a bay weanling colt by The Factor bred in New York by McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds[3], emerged as the fifth-top-selling weanling overall when he was purchased by Lane’s End Bloodstock for $190,000 during the action-packed single session of the Fasig-Tipton November sale on Sunday following the Breeders’ Cup.

Consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent, the sale colt, a February 12 foal, is the third offspring of Flash Act, a winning Kentucky-bred daughter of Sky Mesa out of multiple grade 1 winner Missy’s Mirage (Stop the Music).

Missy’s Mirage, the dam of multiple stakes winner Apprehender (Posse), is also a half-sister to grade 1 winner Classy Mirage, the dam of grade 1 winning sire Dublin. There is abundant graded black type also under the colt’s fourth dam Gray Mirage.

Bloodstock sales action shifts Monday to Keeneland for the first session of the 12-day Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. Click here[4] to view New-York bred hips.
