The strength of the New York-Bred racing and breeding program has generated record entries for the Saratoga fall sale, which Fasig-Tipton has expanded to two days. A total of 430 horses will be catalogued and offered in two sessions, on Monday, October 6 and Tuesday, October 7.
The Monday session, getting underway at 2:00 p.m., will comprise broodmares, broodmare prospects and horses of racing age. The Tuesday session, beginning at 10:00 a.m., will feature approximately 193 weanlings and 107 yearlings. Catalogues will be available online and in print from September 10.
“When you combine our facilities in Saratoga and the attractions of this area in the fall, this is the ideal time and place to focus on important components of the expanding New York-Bred program,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “A number of complementary events and seminars are planned around the sale. It will be a great opportunity to buy and sell at a high-profile Thoroughbred venue.”
