Foggy Bottom Farm in Geneseo, New York reports that the first three foals sired by Encaustic, full brother to G1 SW Include, are colts. The first born on January 12 is out the winning Tiznow mare Tiz Our Dream, and was bred by Krystl Avedisian and foaled at Foggy Bottom Farm. Tiz Our Dream has been bred back to Encaustic in 2014.

The second colt, born on Feb. 7 out of Forty Licks, by Lycius, was bred by Tim Tompkins of Buffalo, New York and was foaled at his private farm. Forty Licks is taking a year off from breeding in 2014.

The third colt, born on Feb. 22 also at Foggy Bottom Farm is out of Jill’s Cat, and was bred by Vincent Clerico of Pavilion Racing Stables in New Jersey. Jill’s Cat will be bred back to Encaustic for 2014.

Encaustic, a son of Broad Brush, earned over $645,000 and won or placed in stakes at 8 different tracks. His dam Illeria produced 9 stakes horses from 13 foals, including 5 SWs; 3 graded.

Encaustic’s 2014 fee is $2,000 Live Foal, Stands and Nurses.
