Anasheed sold to stand in Russia

ANASHEED (2000 Ch.) by AP Indy o/o Flagbird by Nureyev has been sold to stand in Russia.

The New York based Anasheed Syndicate entered into a sales agreement which was finalized earlier this year. Anasheed was standing at Dutchess Views Farm in Pine Plains, New York. He departed quarantine for his new home in Russia via JFK International Airport in late February.

The sale of Anasheed was brokered by New York attorney Michael Lischin. Michael Lischin said of the sale: “Anasheed is by AP Indy out of the champion mare Flagbird and he has more than 22 stakes horses under the first two dams. The Russian market puts a heavy emphasis on world class pedigrees. We have found great demand there for this type of stallion and for that matter for similarly bred mares. The export process to Russia is somewhat complex but for the right horse it is worth it.”
