On Wednesday February 3rd, the Senate Committee on Investigations and Government Operations (Craig M. Johnson, Chair) and Senate Committee on Racing Gaming and Wagering (Eric Adams, Chair) held a public hearing “To investigate the viability of thoroughbred racing in New York State and compare it to the performance of racing enterprises in other states.” Jeffrey Cannizzo, Executive Director of NYTB, presented testimony on the vital importance of the racing program in New York to the State’s breeders.
