Frost Giant’s first foal was born at Empire Stud in Hudson, New York late in the evening of January 31st. The chestnut colt is out of Hickman Creek mare Apocalyptic.
Seven-year-old Frost Giant, by Giant’s Causeway out of Takesmybreathaway (Gone West), was a $600,000 Keeneland September yearling. At two and three he won Group 3 races in Ireland and in 2008 won the Grade 1 Suburban Handicap at Belmont before retiring to stud. Click below for pictures.
